Uchida Shozo’s 1925 brick hall at the head of the University of Tokyo’s Hongo campus, on the national register of tangible cultural properties since 1996 — seen from outside.

The Kaneyasu cornerかねやす

The crossing outside the station is where Edo was said to stop — after the 1730 fire the magistrate drew his fire-proofing line here, and the corner still carries the tooth-powder seller’s name.
